who are the pembrokeshire mud slingers?
The Pembrokeshire Mud Slingers is an exciting new club that
was set up in the spring of 2010 by Adam John and John Davies. However this
would not have been possible without the knowledge and assistance from Iwan
Jenkins, a mutual friend on veteran off roader and the support and assistance of
the Mid Wales 4x4 club.
Safety and respect for the land are top of our agenda closely followed by good
old fashioned fun. We believe the way forward is to take the the sport back to
it's original roots. This being where a like minded group of people can meet up
every month and enjoy a family day out in a relaxed atmosphere.
The club is fully insured by the Motor Sports Association and operates under the
RAC Regulations. We pride ourselves on having a great relationship with the land
owners of the many sites we use throughout Pembrokeshire, Carmarthenshire and
Ceredigion but are always looking to
expand our portfolio of venues and keep a lookout for new sites all the time.
We meet up on the 1st Sunday of every month for events and there are several
classes of vehicle in competition. These range from standard through to purpose
built fully modified vehicles.
Trialing in this county began in the early 1970's with just a
handful of farmers seeing who could out do each other with their Land Rovers
that were used for work on the farms during the week! From those basic roots it
has developed into the sport it is today.
Four wheel drive vehicles have received bad press from a lot of people in recent
years, mostly due to the minority of irresponsible people who think they can go
anywhere at any time because they own a four wheel drive. This has sadly given
the rest of us a bad name.
We think it is therefore far better and safer to become part of an organised
club that is responsible and regulated by the MSA and RAC.

Alternatively why not come along to any of our events. Spectators are always
welcomed, as are new drivers and vehicles. The latest event is always posted in
the calendar section of the
website and we have a hot and cold refreshments van on site for everyone to use.
It's always better to have a hot bowl of soup and a hot cup of coffee than a
cold sandwich on a wintery Sunday morning.

Mudslinger?
Joining us is easy. We have 2 membership options.
Full member and Associate member.
Full membership entitles you to drive your vehicle at any and all events we hold and also, because we are affiliated with the MidWales 4x4 club you can drive at any of their events without having to join both clubs.
Associate membership entitles you to be a passenger in any vehicle, with the driver's permission of course, at any event run by us or the MidWales 4x4 club.
Membership Costs
Full Membership: £20 per year.
Associate Membership: £10 per year.

You can either then post it to the address on the form or bring it along to an
event and hand it in at the sign on station.
